recycling and disposal

Don't believe us - believe the numbers

Did you know that in Germany alone we throw away over 145 million toothbrushes every year? We want to combat this problem as sustainably as possible and need your support. This planet is our home, after all.

Environmentally conscious disposal of brush heads and accessories

For optimal oral hygiene, we recommend replacing your toothbrush attachment after two months. The brush heads for the KOA V2 sonic toothbrush are made from renewable raw materials and are biodegradable. To make it compostable, simply remove the organic plastic interior and castor oil bristles. Find out from your local authorities which bin you can dispose of the attachment in. This varies from place to place.

Environmentally conscious disposal and recycling of the KOA V2 sonic toothbrush

So that the brush can be recycled properly, please hand it in at a municipal collection point for old electrical devices. In certain cases, we can also carry out repairs outside of the warranty for a flat rate.

Notes on battery disposal

In connection with the distribution of batteries or the delivery of devices containing batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following:

As an end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries. The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:

The symbol of the crossed out garbage can means that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste.

Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004 percent lead by mass
Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 percent cadmium by mass
Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005 percent mercury by mass.

In accordance with European guidelines and the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG), old devices and all electronic parts included in the scope of delivery may not be disposed of with household waste. The symbol opposite means that the old device and the electronic parts included in the scope of delivery must be disposed of separately from household waste for the purpose of reuse.
